We are Sean and Montana Burkett.
We have been married for 9 years and we have 3 beautiful, wild, amazing children. In our first year of marriage, Sean noticed that I (Montana) was always taking pictures with this little coolpix camera. I had always mentioned that when we had kids one day, I wanted a nicer camera to capture all of the moments we would have with them. Well, he didn’t wait for babies and bought me my very first camera, a Nikon D3200, in December of 2013. We sure have had quite a few upgrades since those days!

I shot my first wedding in June of 2014 and fell in love with weddings. Fast forward 7 years and here we are working together and growing this little business of ours.
The rest was history.

You really want to know more about me? Aww you’re so sweet! The first thing you should know about me is that I love Jesus. I would be nothing without his sacrificial love and the blessings he has given us in this life. Second, I love my husband and our 3 babies. Being a mama of 3 is so rewarding and the best job in the world but it’s also like being on a wild goose chase every day. When it comes to coffee, it's Starbucks for me. All day every day. You can also find me cozied up on the couch watching all of the medical dramas. When it comes to photography, I will always chase the sunset with you. There is nothing more beautiful to me than that natural golden glow the sun gives you in those last minutes before dusk. So let’s go chase sunsets together!

Understanding who I am is not hard. I am a social butterfly. Some may call me a hype man, and I would agree with that as well. I may not know all of the words, but I will sing any and every song with you during your reception! I will ask you what your favorite genre of music is just so I can play it from my phone to keep you feeling at your best throughout the day. I feel the most alive when my efforts to be kind, helpful, energetic, and fun have put a smile on someone’s face.
I joined Montana and decided to lead the video side of our services for two main reasons. The first was to spend more time with her. This opportunity has allowed us to develop a different aspect of our relationship, dance together more frequently, and capture so many romantic moments. All of these things help us to focus on the marriage that we are continuing to develop and improve. The second reason was to provide other couples with a service that was not accessible or affordable to us when we got married. We will never be able to hear and relive the song we sang to each other during our ceremony. That is one of my very few regrets in this life. That being said, if you can afford to do so, please don’t make the same mistake we did. Hire a videographer, even if it isn’t me.

I was born and raised in Greenville, NC and graduated from East Carolina! My photography journey began in 2014 by taking photos of flowers and butterflies around my grandparents house. I slowly began taking my camera to church events, and from there, families asked me to do portrait sessions for them!
My whole life has been surrounded by families - my own, at church, families I’ve babysat or nannied for, my best friends and their growing families, families at the child care centers where I taught. I’ve been so fortunate to grow WITH these families, not just on the sidelines! These days, I am a nanny of twins, an aunt to a niece & nephew, an honorary sister & aunt to my best friends and their three kids (aka the Burkett family), and a family photographer & videographer. Growing with so many amazing people and getting to be a part of their lives means more to me than they will ever know.

We are here to walk you through each and every step of the process, making sure you feel comfortable from consult call to gallery reveal day. We'd love for you to invite us into your day as your trusted photography and videography team, so you can be sure your memories are captured and you can cherish your special day forever.
We are a husband and wife photo and video team serving couples and families in North Carolina and all over (beyond? Not sure what will be better here ). We tell a lot of jokes and find joy in every part of our journey with you. We can’t wait to connect with you. We love serving our couples on the journey to marriage. We are so stoked to now offer both photography and videography in custom designed packages with you in mind. As a married couple who has been through this journey and married now for 8 years (gosh we’re getting old) we feel strongly about walking the road to marriage with you every step of the way.
